DESCRIPTION The raja sits, dressed in orange, at the center of his bustling court. A renowned hunter, he has just captured a mysterious animal described as having fur that is softer than a sable’s and smoother than an ermine’s. The animal is shown here as a strange hybrid beast with a bird’s beak, ram’s horns, spotted fur, and cloven hooves.
